Sitters Co Canada ("Sitters Co", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through sittersco.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Sitter applications — name, email, phone, location, and the details you provide on our application form.
- Family waitlist — first name, last name, email, community, and province.
- Basic site analytics — pages visited, approximate location, device, and referral source. This is collected via cookies and similar technologies (including Meta Pixel).
How we use it
- To respond to sitter applications and notify you about your status.
- To let you know when Sitters Co launches in your community.
- To improve the website and understand which content is useful.
- To prevent fraud and keep the platform safe.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except service providers that help us run the site (hosting, email delivery, analytics) under appropriate confidentiality terms.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@sittersco.ca. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link at the bottom of the message.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement (including Meta Pixel). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service or satisfy legal obligations. Waitlist entries are kept until you ask to be removed or for up to 24 months, whichever comes first.
