Question 1

Is Sitters Co Canada live yet?

Accepted Answer

We are pre-launch and building each local Caregiver network carefully, community by community. Join the family waitlist and we will let you know when bookings are opening near you.

Question 2

How is this different from other sitter sites?

Accepted Answer

Most platforms give you a large directory to scroll through. We are taking a different approach — building smaller, curated local networks of pre-screened babysitters and non-medical elder care companions. Sitters complete onboarding before becoming bookable, you post a booking and hear from a smaller pool of relevant sitters, and payment runs through the platform.

Question 3

What does it cost families?

Accepted Answer

Pricing for families will be shared closer to launch. Joining the waitlist is free, and you are not committing to anything by signing up.

Question 4

Are sitters background-checked?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Caregiver goes through an application review, interview, references, and background screening before they can be booked through the platform.

Question 5

Do you also offer non-medical elder care companions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside babysitters, our Caregivers include non-medical elder care companions for things like companionship visits, help around the house, errands, and respite for primary caregivers. Mention this on the waitlist form and we'll match you with the right Caregivers as your area opens.

Question 6

Can I refer a sitter I already know and trust?

Accepted Answer

Yes — please do. They can apply at sittersco.ca/apply and mention you. Bringing trusted Caregivers into the platform helps your whole community.

Question 7

When will you launch in my town?

Accepted Answer

We open a town for family bookings once we have enough strong local Caregivers to create a good experience for families. The waitlist tells us where to focus next.

We're taking a pause.
