Approved sitters can create and update their profile so families can review experience, availability, location, and care style before booking.
When a family posts a booking in your area, you can receive a push notification through the Sitters Co app.
Sitters are not assigned to jobs. You choose which bookings to apply for based on your own availability and preferences.
Families review interested sitters and choose who they'd like to book.
View upcoming bookings, clock in and out of shifts, update availability, and keep track of your schedule.
Payments are handled through Stripe, so you don't collect cash after a shift. View upcoming payments and earnings in the app.

Our process includes digital interview questions you can complete when it suits you. Things can move quickly once your profile, references, and required steps are complete — timing depends on you.
We're starting with babysitting, but the platform may later support additional care categories such as elder companionship, pet sitting, and house sitting. Approved sitters may be able to express interest in additional categories as the network grows.

Wondering who's behind Sitters Co?
Hi, I'm Janneke, the founder of Sitters Co Canada.
I'm Canadian, a mom, and I spent the last several years running a nanny and au pair placement business in South Africa.
Now that I'm back in Canada, I'm building Sitters Co locally because I believe families need a better way to find babysitting, and great sitters deserve a more professional way to be seen, booked, and paid.
I'm starting small and personally reviewing our first applications.
